About Temu
Meet the beautiful and Tiny Temu!
Such a ray of Sunshine! ❤️
Temu is a gorgeous 6 month old Dachshund (Miniature) who’s already mastered the art of melting hearts with just one look.
At only 3.8kg , she might be small in size, but her personality is absolutely bursting with joy, sass, and charm.
Temu is the kind of dog who makes every day brighter, funnier, and warmer simply by being her sweet and spirited self.
Temu was surrendered to rescue from a breeder, Temu had a leg injury when she was very very young and while healed had a small limp. The breeder decided to not breed with her and surrendered her to the rescue to ensure that a good home was found for her. Temu no longer has a limp and her leg doesn't slow her down at all.
Temu is still working on her toilet training, and, like any self-respecting diva , she’s not a fan of getting her dainty paws wet. A gentle carry onto the lawn with the magic word "Toilet" works wonders for her. Temu hasn’t been introduced to a doggy door or crate at her foster carers home, but Temu is a smart cookie and would pick up on using a doggy door in no time.
Temu knows how to return to her bed and settle with ease when she’s ready to nap. At night, she snoozes peacefully on her bed beside yours, and during the day, she rotates between her favourite sunny spots indoors and outside.
Her absolute favourite place in the world is lying in the sunroom catching rays of sunshine or flopping across the lawn like a sunbathing diva. She’s also quite fond of a veggie patch, purely for lounging purposes.
Her energy is delightfully balanced. She’s a little firecracker when playing, walking, or chasing her toys, but equally happy to curl up in your lap and recharge.
Her mornings often begin with a cuddle in bed for a while , followed by an enthusiastic zoomies around the yard or a walk around the block. She walks beautifully on a lead and has adapted well to strolling beside you, with only the occasional pause to say hello to people or admire a passing doggy pal. Sometimes, temu gets a little cheeky and bites the lead. She’s easily redirected with a calm stop-and-wait approach.
Temu loves children and happily welcomes pats and cuddles from kids during walks. She adores other dogs, especially large ones, as her fur sibling is a much bigger dog. While she can get a little overwhelmed at times, she’ll usually flop onto her back in a submissive roll before bouncing back up for more fun.
She’s been tested with cats and, while Temu finds them fascinating, she’s learning to give them space (and trying very hard to resist the cat food and those unmentionable backyard "treats", we're working on it).
She’s even met guinea pigs under supervision and behaved like the curious but gentle pup she is.
Her favourite doggy diva hobbies include chasing soccer or tennis balls, wrestling with toys, going on car rides, and curling up for a good snuggle. She loves the challenge of puzzle toys like a Kong and won’t say no to a treat, ever!
She also thinks riding in a bike basket is the height of doggy diva sophistication.
Temu is a clever girl and very easy to train.
Temu thrives on praise, treats, and positive attention. She’s full of zest and mischief, but also very loving and gentle. Her joyful personality is contagious, and she spreads happiness wherever she goes. Whether she’s lounging in the sun, like the Diva she is or strolling proudly on her lead next to her human, greeting people with her wiggly tail and sparkling eyes, Temu brings laughter and love into every space she enters.
If you're looking for a best friend who’s playful, sweet, a little bit cheeky, who will love you endlessly , Temu might just be your perfect match, She’s sunshine and she’s ready to light up your life.
