From street life to sweet life — Harper is a beautiful black Labrador with a heart as big as his gorgeous brown eyes. Found wandering the streets of rural NSW with his sister Lucy, Unclaimed from the pound, Harper hadn’t known the love and care every dog deserves… until now.
Since arriving in care, Harper has blossomed into the most loving, loyal, and easy-going companion. He’s a calm, intelligent boy who takes everything in his stride and lives for life’s simple pleasures — a good walk, a tasty treat, a car ride, and the company of his people and doggy friends.

🐶 ABOUT HARPER
💫 Loves his walks and walks beautifully on lead. He especially enjoys going on ‘snifaris’ where he can explore and take in all the scents.
💫 Adores food — will happily eat just about anything offered and has a morning ritual of sitting by the pantry waiting for his much-loved DentaStick 😃
💫 Fantastic in the car 🚗 — calm and well-behaved whether you’re off on an adventure or stopping for a coffee (windows down, of course!).
💫 Harper gets along with everyone — humans and dogs alike. Harper currently lives with two foster Labradors, Daisy and Baily, and has been introduced to many other dogs in care, getting on wonderfully with them all.
💫 Camping enthusiast — loves getting out and about and is a pleasure to have on trips away.
💫 Sleeps soundly on his own bed and sometimes takes himself off for a nap if he wants a bit of quiet time.
💫 Very intelligent — knows how to sit and stay on command and picks up new routines quickly.
💫 Access inside and out via a dog door in his foster home, and he loves having the freedom to choose where he wants to be.

🏡 HARPERS IDEAL FOREVER HOME:
✨ Must have another calm friendly dog — Harper thrives in the company of other dogs and it’s essential for his happiness.
✨ A family or individual who’s home more often than not or works from home — he’s happiest when he’s around his humans and canine companions.
✨ A single story home with easy access to the outdoors (no steep stairs) and a secure yard for gentle pottering.
✨ A family that will include him in outings, car rides, and even camping trips if possible — he’s a true adventure buddy.

💊 HEALTH & CARE:
💫 Harper’s hips aren’t perfect, but with consistent hydrotherapy, muscle-building, and supplements, he’s doing beautifully.
💫 Harper is currently on Meloxicam daily to help manage any discomfort in his hips while we continue to build up his muscle strength.
💫 Harper is also on Pentosan / Cartrophen injections monthly or as vet recommendation as he becomes stronger
💫 He’s now at a healthy weight, but like most Labradors, Harper loves his food — his new family will need to be mindful of his diet to maintain his weight and avoid extra strain on his joints.
💫 Gentle daily walks, a comfy bed, and continued joint care are a must to keep him comfortable and happy.
💫 Harper is also on Antinol Rapid supplements to help and support his Joints, Immune system and general welbeing.
