ABOUT MICKEY (MCNULTY)
Meet Mickey, an absolutely charming Greyhound who stands out from the crowd with his unique small and dainty stature, weighing just 26 kg. He may be little, but he certainly packs a lot into his tiny frame. Perfectly suited for a home that appreciates his gentle and sweet nature, Mickey is the ideal companion who will thrive in a family environment.
Mickey's one-of-a-kind personality is evident in his shy demeanor and his ability to win the hearts of everyone he meets despite appearing to be a bit standoffish at first, almost as though he needs permission to approach. He's not afraid of other dogs, and even cats! and doesn't mind sharing his bed and toys. Additionally, he shows no signs of food aggression either. While he may be a bit wary when meeting new people, it doesn't take him long to warm up and showcase his affectionate side once he realizes they are friends. Whether it's a family with small children, toddlers, or even babies, Mickey's gentle nature shines through, making him an excellent fit for households with young ones. His recall abilities (unusual for a Greyhound) make him a delight to have around the backyard, as he remains close by while you go about your daily activities.
Mickey enjoys the simple pleasures in life. Because he is recovering from an injury to his hock, he doesn't require long walks or exercise and he's quite happy lounging on a big bed, snuggling up on your couch, or just basking in the attention of his loved ones. Mickey is a well-mannered companion, and given his sweet nature, durability, and adaptability, he’ll quickly become a beloved member of your family.
Mickey's microchip number is 956000013072538, and he has been desexed and treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. He's vaccinated and heartworm-tested negative, ready to set off on his new adventure. If this charming boy sounds like the perfect addition to your life, don't hesitate to reach out through the detailed adoption process to welcome Mickey into your heart and home.
He's currently residing in Cairns and is eagerly awaiting the chance to be part of a new family. For more details or to express interest, please check the adoption guidelines and form linked above. Mickey is ready to start his next chapter filled with love and companionship.
Medical notes
Mickey was retired due to a broken hock injury from which he is still recovering. He has healed well and won't require further veterinary intervention however full recovery from such an injury does take time. At this stage he is still a little tender and is being helped along with a supplement which has been provided by his previous owner. We expect that with limited exercise, he will have no problem bearing weight and running and playing although he may always have a slight limp or hop.
