On Hold
About Nala - 10 Month Old Kelpie X Staffy
Nala is a very healthy and energetic puppy who has been raised in a loving home environment, crate trained, toilet trained and has always lived with another dog.
She loves to be in close contact with her people when at home, a real snuggle-bug. She walks well on the lead and travels beautifully in the car, always ready to jump in and go on adventures. She has visited the dog park which she loved and is very social with all dogs and people.
Nala has shown herself to be a smart quick learner, food motivated, making her easy to train. Ongoing training will ensure she is the best dog she can be.
Nala will grow up to be a medium size dog, probably around 20kg.
Nala would thrive living with an older friendly dog as a teacher, companion and playmate. She is not suited to a home where she would be alone for long days with full time workers. She loves her chew toys, fetching balls, and is learning to share toys with her foster brother. She shares space with him easily, showing no food aggression.
Nala needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at night. She will be a wonderful family dog and is suitable for school age children. Younger children with experience of energetic dogs would be OK, but under strict supervision. She is untested with cats at this stage.
You will need good fencing with no small gaps. Not suitable for rural fencing (mesh or wire).
Nala is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. Adoption fee is $700. She is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas, ticks and worms.
