About Koda
Koda is a five month old male German Shepherd who was found with his siblings and spent a few months at a Sydney Shelter.
Koda is currently with a foster carer with his brother (Grady) and two other dogs a German Shepherd and a Staffy and learning to live with a cat.
Koda was super excited but well behaved when he went to the vet for his second vaccination, and had a good sleep afterwards.
We always recommend to continue training when you take your dog home. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long and is a great way for you to bond with your new dog.
Koda would thrive in a home where his family understands the breed's needs and is committed to the lifelong journey they offer. If you have prior experience with German Shepherds or large breed dogs and feel prepared to provide love, structure, and a stable environment, Koda could be the perfect addition to your home.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you have the commitment to give Koda a new home, then please click on the link "Enquire about Koda” and we will send you information about adopting a German Shepherd or go to our website and complete the application form.

If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet him. If for any reason he doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing him back to Sydney.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. When Koda goes to his new home the new owners will sign a Desex Agreement and he will be desexed at 12 months of age as advised by our vets.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
