Athos

Meet Athos, an intriguing and energetic feline who is looking for a special new family to match her unique blend of curiosity and affection. Though she’s a bit timid at first, her brave and curious nature will soon have her exploring every corner of her new home.

Athos has a particular fascination with the world around her and can often be found watching TV with keen interest, putting on some cat TV for her will have her enraptured. An avid climber, she revels in reaching new heights, so having a cat tree or shelves would be perfect for her escapades. She loves playing and will go ballistic for feather wands or laser pointers, though she can entertain herself with a couple balls or jiggle toys to chase around.

While she is affectionate, Athos prefers affection on her terms. She'll happily seek out her humans for head rubs and gentle companionship, provided she's not scooped up without warning.

She will require some patience for her to settle in to a new place and to gain her trust, but once that trust is gained, she will gladly accept pats for hours. She particularly loves a good ear rub and cheek scratches. If she gets over stimulated, she will just walk away and come back once she’s calmed herself down again for you to start all over again.

Her playful side is accentuated by her love for food, making treat time a great way for you to bond, as she is happier to accept affection whenever food is involved. She will eat whatever is in her bowl and others if they are around, so she may have to be separated at meal time if there are other cats in the house.

Atho's Story:
Athos was born on the streets as part of the Revesby Park colony. She has 2 siblings and was named after the 3 musketeers. She was sick and scared when she first came to us, but thankfully recovered quickly and showed us her spunk. She was quick to swipe us away and It took a few months for her to trust us, but once she did she became a sweety and has never looked back.
