About Nala
Nala is an eight month old female German Shepherd who was found with her siblings and spent a few months at a Sydney Shelter. She is currently with foster carers.
Nala is a high energy puppy and a fast learner. She loves affection but doesn't thrive off it and doesn't want to be held too much. She is very playful and friendly with people and dogs. She is a confident puppy and can manage on her own as she doesn't seek too much attention. She loves her own space and has a very strong character.
Nala has a lot of energy so will need an active owner that will work with her energy levels. During training she is very intense and so harder to keep calm. She is currently being walked for 45 mins a day.
She is housetrained but is like a wiggly worm inside and so is happier being outside, but will settle in a crate inside and at night.
She has not been be tested with cats but due to her energy levels she probably won't be suitable to go to a home with cats.
We always recommend to continue training when you take your dog home. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long and is a great way for you to bond with your new dog.
Nala would thrive in a home where her family understands the breed's needs and is committed to the lifelong journey they offer. If you have prior experience with German Shepherds or large breed dogs and feel prepared to provide love, structure, and a stable environment, Nala could be the perfect addition to your home.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you have the commitment to give Nala a new home, then please click on the link "Enquire about Nala” and we will send you information about adopting a German Shepherd or go to our website and complete the application form.

If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet her. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing her back to Sydney.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. When Nala goes to her new home the new owners will sign a Desex Agreement and she will be desexed at 12 months of age as advised by our vets.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
