The tippity tap of little paws on the floor, zoomies in the yard, cheeky games of chasey, and the joy of always having a cuddle buddy - life with Chiquita and Alejandro is a symphony of tiny, heartmelting moments.

These besties have come a long way. Arriving in care terrified and completely shut down, they barely left the safety of their kennel at first. But with gentle encouragement and consistency, they’ve slowly let their guard down and shown themselves to be the sweetest, most affectionate little lovebugs once they trust you.

Alejandro gives off "tiny boss man" energy, but the real queen of this duo is Chiquita - full of sass and spunk, she’s the one who calls the shots. Both draw comfort from each other, so they’re seeking a forever home where they can stay together.

The world is still a big, overwhelming place for these little souls. They’ve just started venturing out for short walks (with Chiquita leading the charge, while Alejandro sometimes opts to become a decorative rock instead). They’ve proudly mastered the doggy door, learned that the couch is the ultimate cuddle zone, and are slowly figuring out the joy of toys and wrestling with their fellow canine foster brother.

Toilet training is a work in progress, it’s likely they spent most of their lives outdoors before coming into care, so learning indoor living is all new. They’ll need a family that’s understanding, patient, and willing to continue helping them build their confidence at their own pace.

Chiquita and Alejandro are best suited to a quiet, calm home without too much hustle and bustle, a gentle environment where they can continue to blossom into the playful, snuggly, hilarious little companions they’re clearly meant to be.
