About Sissy
*In foster care in Newtown, Sydney*
Part-time Ferrari and full-time sweetheart, Sissy wears many hats - but the only one she cares about is the one that says 'adopted'!
This precious panther is calm, gentle and affectionate, seriously the sweetest and most unique cat with loads of personality packed into her petite frame. She’s curious and clever, and always on the lookout for her next adventure - whether it’s inspecting under the bed, zooming down the hallway (sometimes with her head stuck through a fuzzy slipper like a tiny helmet), or hiding under a blanket for surprise pop-out cuddles.
Sissy has many nicknames in her foster home (Sissu, Noodle, Panther, Ferrari… the list grows daily), and once you meet her, you’ll understand why - she’s full of quirks and charm! Her post-dinner zoomies are legendary, and her soft meow songs at meal time are both adorable and persuasive. And once she's comfortable in her environment she's an unstoppable snuggle machine, often tucking herself under the blanket to nap beside you, purring like a tiny engine :)
She also makes an excellent work-from-home assistant, frequently checking your laptop progress!
While Sissy may take a little while to feel safe in a new space, she transforms into the most loving, gentle and loyal companion you could ever hope to have.
Like all Maggie's pets, Sissy is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'll do best in a calm, patient home where I can take all the time I need time to settle in, with someone who enjoys gentle affection and quiet moments and who'll love me for me! I’m long like a noodle, full of personality, and while I like my space at first, once I’m comfy, I love being picked up and gently played with. My foster mum says I’m the sweetest, gentlest cat - guaranteed to make your day funnier, cosier, and full of love!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I like a bit of everything! - from lazy naps, to laptop supervision and evening zoomies. I’m relaxed for most of the day, often curled up next to you or tucked under the blanket, keeping snug and warm while you work. But when dinnertime arrives I’m off like a Ferrari, racing around for playtime!
My favourite activities are chasing the wand toy, snoozing on your chest and soaking up affection, but I’m also happy to do my own thing when you’re busy.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Though I've not met any children, I’d likely do best with older, gentle kids who understand I need space and time to warm up. Once I feel safe, I love snuggles - especially under a warm blanket!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I’d love to be adopted into a home with another gentle cat.
I haven’t met dogs but I'd probably prefer a home with no dogs.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
