About Maddy
PLEASE read Maddy’s profile before applying..
Maddy needs a very specific home.
We will not be looking at applications interstate.
Maddy has come from a breeding facility and has been in care for a few months due to decompressing.
She was very shutdown and had to learn to be a pet.
This sweet girl has been in care with two different carers due to opening her world to lots of ways to live.
One of her carers is in a wheelchair and we couldn’t believe how quickly and instinctively she walked next to wheelchair and places herself in a high position so carer can put her harness on, plus many other qualities that she has.
Her other carer has a little female pack where she has learned to play, go to dog parks and just been in her girl pack.
Originally we thought Maddy would be a potential candidate to be trained as a support dog, but we think she is still very timid to go through training. And the chance of her failing with a new owner is too much for her.
But she does have the potential to be a homebody support dog.
Her ideal home would be a home with another dog so she can play and do zoomies in the backyard.
An active family or person. She gets very very attached to her one person so can have some anxiety when left, but we believe it will improve over time.
If you have someone in the home that maybe is elderly? Special needs? Mental health issues? Etc
Maddy would be a great companion for that special person.
Maddy is a Moyen Poodle which is in between a mini poodle and a standard. Closer to a large mini.
Maddy is on the Gold Coast

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
