Spectacles

Spectacles is a unique little lady with a big personality and an even bigger heart, once you earn her trust. She’s a low-vision kitty, which makes her a bit cautious at first. She can be nervous around new people and doesn’t like being touched right away. But if you’re patient and kind, you’ll discover a deeply affectionate, loyal companion.

Once she decides you’re safe for her, she will slowly warm up to you and transform into a sweet shadow, following you from room to room like your tiny, furry bodyguard. She loves to be around people, especially if you’re working from home.

Spectacles has a serious passion for food and makes sure her bowl is sparkling clean after every meal. Wet food and treats are the way to her heart (and a good first step to earning her trust). When she’s not observing the room from the highest spot she can find to sit, (at the moment it’s a cat tree) she’s zooming up and down the hallway or play-fighting with her favorite toys, a cardboard box and a feather wand.

At night, she curls up at the foot of the bed, standing alert if she hears anything unusual. It’s like having your own tiny, silent night watch. Once she’s satisfied the world is safe, she’ll snuggle back into a fluffy ball and sleep soundly by your side.

Spectacles is looking for a calm, patient home, one that understands she may need time and space before she blooms into her usual sweet self. In return, she’ll be your quirky, playful, and utterly devoted companion.
