Johnny - 1 Year Old Dachshund

If you’re looking for a sweet little boy to spend a lot of time with, come and meet Johnny. This adorable, small, smooth hair black and tan miniature Dachshund just turned 12 months old and is in some ways still very much a puppy.

Johnny enjoys play time with toys and other dogs small or large. This brave dude is not afraid to wrestle with bigger dogs.

After play time comes snuggles and that’s where he really excels. Little cuddle bug here is content to squeeze in wherever you’ll let him and often repays with tiny puppy kisses for your troubles.
Tiny gentleman certainly knows how to win you over with his gentle approach and his puppy gaze up at you with gorgeous dark eyes and dark chocolate facial colouring.

Walking on lead and travelling in the car are no issue. But like many dachshunds he can still be weary of new people which usually settles with slow and calm introductions.

Johnny will need a doggy sibling and a back yard to do zoomies in. He needs few stairs to live his longest life.

To assist with Johnny living his best life and transition well, he requires a home with another furry friend and someone who is home more often than not, a backyard and very few stairs.

*Johnny enjoys snuggles and playing with all if his toys

*Eating all food and treats. 

*Toilet Training is 95% and getting better (rainy days don’t help)
*Wary of new humans, will need a slow introduction and continued socialisation training.
*Great with other dogs after gentle introductions.
*Not tested with cats or other pets. 

*Travels well in the car and great walking on lead

Johnny is in foster carer in Newcastle, NSW and is not availablefor interstate adoption. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas, ticks and worms.
