Jedi Master - Adopted

Jasper is super friendly and loves to be with people. He basically lives indoors, but will sleep in the laundry at night with the door shut. He loves children to bits – likes to play with them and will also happily sit with them quietly. Seems to particularly like our foster carers 7 year old grandson and 3 year old granddaughter!

he responds to his name most of the time and when off leash returns to the command come. He does not run off when off leash stays close but happily plays with others dogs. (has only been to off leash areas of the beach and local parks which were enclosed)

he walks well on lead and he has had some good basic training at some stage. He hasn’t been destructive at all considering his young age and has displayed excellent manners to date. He doesn’t like to be left outside on his own or even with another dog – but this can be worked on over time as he is obviously still very insecure due to the upheaval he has had to deal with in his short life. A dedicated owner will be able to get through this over time by implementing strategies with full support from our scallywags team. He does have a tendency to gently mouth you when he wants to play either on your hand or arm – but our foster carers have been working on this and with more training it won’t be a problem.
