Meet Drake, a handsome American Staffy mix, born on 13th July 2023. With his adorable looks and tender heart, Drake is slowly coming out of his shell and showing us all the potential of his loving personality.

Initially arriving at our shelter timid and unsure, he has made remarkable strides toward becoming a more relaxed and happy young dog, engaging playfully with people and enjoying games like fetch.

With patience and positive reinforcement, Drake is ready to find a loving family that understands his need for a calm and supportive environment as he continues to build his confidence.

Despite life's early challenges, Drake is truly a gentle soul who thrives with encouragement. He's a bit skittish around sudden movements and loud noises, making him a perfect match for a family who can provide him with plenty of time, space, and understanding as he settles into his new home.

Drake feels more comfortable around female dogs, so we recommend a home where he can be the solo superstar or in the company of a female canine friend. If you're considering expanding your family with two additions, Drake and his close companion Angel (available for adoption) would make a wonderful pair.

Drake's eagerness to learn shines through, especially when treats are involved! He already knows how to sit and is excited to expand his repertoire with more training and love. While he still needs guidance on a leash, he shows great promise in becoming the perfect adventure partner for a family ready to explore the world together.

With gradual exposure and continued training, Drake may even learn to coexist with a dog-friendly cat.
