About Rufus
Meet Rufus, a spirited and intelligent American Staffordshire Terrier cross who's ready to find a loving new family. At just over a year old, Rufus is eager to learn and please, making him a delight to train. His smart and receptive nature shines through as he is picking up basic training quickly and learning boundaries with guidance. Walking on a lead with Rufus is a breeze, and he passes by other dogs calmly, preferring the company of his humans above all else.
Rufus is happiest when he's close to his family; his affectionate side really shines through when he's in a home, behaving wonderfully. He would thrive in a home with a spacious backyard that offers him the freedom to frolic and play. Given his sensitivity to noise, a quieter environment without too many neighbours nearby would suit him best.
Although his experience with cats remains unknown, Rufus has shown promising social skills around other dogs. His ideal household would be one with teenage children, where his caring demeanour can be appreciated by slightly older kids who understand his playful energy. Rufus is desexed, fully vaccinated, and heartworm tested, ensuring he's all set for the adventures that await with his new family.
Rufus is ready to offer his love and loyalty to a family who will embrace his energetic spirit, sharp intellect, and the companionship he craves. If you're searching for a devoted and bright four-legged friend, Rufus might just be the perfect match for your home!
