About Marty
Meet Marty: A Resilient and Lovable Companion
Marty's story is one of resilience and courage. After being seized by his local pound at just 16 weeks old, Marty spent 12 long months waiting for his forever home. His previous owner faced a court case for animal cruelty, and Marty's short tail is a reminder of the trauma he endured. Despite this, Marty has shown remarkable strength and adaptability.
Now, at just shy of 2 years old, Marty is ready to find his forever family. With the help of Forever Friends Animal Rescue, Marty has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and socialization. He's a friendly and outgoing pup who loves people and other dogs.
Marty's Personality:
- Playful: Marty enjoys a good game of tug or a sniffy walk, and he's particularly fond of soft toys (which he doesn't destroy!)
- Social: Despite his rough start, Marty is dog-friendly and he's learning to navigate new social situations.
- Resilient: Marty's history hasn't defined him; he's a happy-go-lucky pup who loves attention and affection
What Marty Needs:
- A patient and committed family: Marty's past experiences mean he needs a home that will take things slowly and help him build confidence in new situations
- Gradual socialization: Marty's social skills are developing, and he needs a family that will continue to expose him to new experiences and environments
- Someone willing to continue his medication and diet for his skin concerns which are expected to be ongoing - we can discuss the exact details of this with applicants
If You're the Right Fit for Marty:
- You're looking for a loyal companion who will reward your patience and love
- You're committed to helping Marty build his social skills and confidence
- You're ready to provide a forever home filled with love, care, and understanding
If you're ready to open your heart and home to this deserving pup, we'd love to hear from you!
