Russello is a gentle soul who enjoys the simple life: walking along the beach, sitting on a park bench and observing the world, and being close to his human family. He may be misunderstood at first as he can be a little cautious when meeting new people and other dogs. However, with a bit of extra positive reinforcement and patience, Russello will warm up to you and be the most cuddly, playful dog and follow you around like a shadow.

Russello is slowly growing into a fine adult and learning that the world is a safe place. He is super affectionate with his foster parents (and foster grandma who sometimes visits) and prefers cuddles over treats. He will happily lay near you as you watch TV, cook in the kitchen, and work from home. He is content with a comfy bed and chew toys that will keep him busy for hours.

Russello is toilet trained, knows ‘sit’, respects boundaries in the house, and can be left alone during work hours or evenings. He walks well on lead and sits before crossing the street. He sleeps all through the night in his crate or bed.

Russello will thrive in a home where he is given plenty of affection, exercise and stimulation, and a good structure to his day. Ideally, he would suit with an experienced dog owner who will continue to build his confidence. While a home without other pets and small children is preferred, a slow introduction is recommended with any siblings.
