About Asher
🖤 Meet Asher – A Quiet Soul Searching for His Perfect Place 🖤
Age: 2.5 years
Sex: Male (Neutered)
Color: Black
Time in Care: 660 days
Special Traits: Cat-friendly, small-dog friendly, calm and independent
Asher has been in care for nearly two years, patiently waiting for the right person to come along—and now he’s ready for his forever home.
This sleek black beauty is not your average lap cat. He’s incredibly selective with his affection and prefers life on his own terms. Asher doesn’t enjoy being picked up or fussed over. He’s the kind of cat who keeps you company without needing constant attention. On rare occasions—when things are quiet and you're sitting still for a while—he might choose to sit on your lap, but even then, pats are on his terms.
Asher thrives best as a companion cat, especially to another calm feline. He’s not a fan of being played with by humans but makes a gentle, respectful friend for another cat or even a small dog.
🌿 A Note on His Health:
Asher was diagnosed with plasma cell pododermatitis (also known as "pillow foot") early in care. It was successfully treated with prednisolone, and he now manages well with dietary support alone.
Current diet: Purina Pro Plan LiveClear (dry) is essential to keep his paws and skin healthy. A raw diet may also support his immune system and reduce the chance of flare-ups. He likes raw prawns, beef/pork/chicken mince.
He has tested negative for FIV and FELV and has no other known health issues.
💌 After 660 days in care, Asher is ready for the calm, understanding home he deserves. He doesn’t need someone looking for a cuddly lap cat—he needs someone who sees the beauty in a cat who marches to the beat of his own drum.
Could your home be the safe haven Asher’s been waiting for?
