About Basil - 4 Month Old Staffy X
🌿Meet Basil! 🌿
Basil is a big cutie who is showing signs of independence and a big curiosity for the world already!
Basil is a 4 month old Staffy X who is quite a little boy, weighing in at only 5.5kg. He is an adventurous and funny little pup who is looking for the home of his dreams! Basil is on the quieter side, and loves a good cuddle or a play in the yard. Like most puppies, Basil is loving getting to learn about the world, and is very inquisitive about his new surroundings. Be sure that he is taste testing everything!
Basil loves cuddling up with his brother at the shelter, and would love the company of a furry friend in his home. He also loves exercise and a run around the yard, so would love a home with space to run free!
Basil will need ongoing training for toileting, lead walking and basic commands. For this reason, he would benefit from an active family who can get him out and socialise him, as well as be committed to his training.
Basil needs secure fencing and a yard that is completely puppy proof! This means no under house access, no soft soil to get out under and no choke hazards lying around.

His adoption fee is $800, which includes his desexing when he is old enough. He is up to date on vaccinations, flea, tick and worm treatment.
He is located at Fullerton Cove, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when by 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
