About Bindi
☀️ Meet Bindi - Your Ray of Sunshine! ☀️
Say hello to Bindi, a sweet and soulful 6-year-old Staghound cross with a heart as big as her gentle paws! With her gorgeous fawn and white coat, Bindi is the perfect blend of elegance and laid-back charm - like a warm summer breeze you never want to leave.
Bindi's days are best spent soaking up the sun, playing in the yard, or curling up next to her humans for some quiet cuddle time. She's a friendly, loving, and playful girl, with a calm, gentle nature when it's time to wind down. Whether it's a lazy afternoon nap or a joyful trot through the garden, Bindi is happy just being by your side.
She's lived with young children and other dogs and knows how to be a wonderful companion. While she's not a fan of pushy border collies (they make her a bit anxious), she's otherwise social and sweet. Bonus points? She's even lived with chickens - and gets along with them so well, she'll protect them from pesky magpies like a feathered guardian!
If you're looking for a bright, loving soul to light up your life, Bindi might just be your perfect match. Come meet her - and let your days get a whole lot sunnier!
To book a meet and greet with Bindi please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
