🐾 Meet Banjo – Your Energetic, Loyal Little Shadow!
Breed: Dachshund X
Sex: Male (Desexed)
Age: Puppy (8 Months old)

Banjo is a bouncy, playful Dachshund mix pup bursting with love and loyalty. He’s already bonded deeply with humans and is happiest when he’s with his people – whether they’re big or small! Banjo is incredibly food motivated and already comes when called, so with time and consistency, he'll be an absolute gem with training.
He’s recently been desexed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Banjo is learning crate training, But like any puppy, he comes with all the usual antics – expect zoomies, chewing, and endless curiosity!
Banjo’s Ideal Home:
Someone who is home most of the time – Banjo does not like being left alone for long periods and when left alone, will need enrichment to keep him occupied.
A friendly female dog as a companion would be ideal.
No birds or pocket pets – Banjo previously lived among pigeons and, out of boredom, sadly chased and killed a few.
He’s okay with dog-savvy cats, but will chase if they run.
A grassed backyard to play in and a patio or pergola for weather protection are musts.
What Banjo Needs:
An energetic, patient, and committed person or family ready to guide him through puppyhood. He needs daily walks, playtime, and lots of mental stimulation. With time and effort, Banjo will grow into a beautifully trained, loyal companion — he’s already halfway there!

🌿 Must have a secure, grassed yard and sheltered outdoor space

Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
