About Stubby - 8 Month Old Jack Russell
Stubby is an eight-month-old, chunky and fit Jack Russell Terrier boy with a gorgeous white wire coat and brown marks. His whole presence beams confidence and happy-go-lucky attitude. He explores the world as if it were his oyster and meets every new person and a dog with friendly curiosity.
Stubby is very playful and fortunate to be in a foster home with primary school children with endless attention and affection. It is amazing though, that such a high-energy puppy can be so patient and accepting, when he needs to stay tied up or wait alone for the family to return home.
Stubby already masters some tricks like ‘sit’ and ‘drop’, but his new family will have to continue his training to ensure consistent recall and to keep learning that an open door is not an invitation – particularly if there is a busy road on the other side.
As typical for Jack Russell terriers, Stubby should never get access to chickens or pocket pets.
An ideal home for Stubby would be an active family with lots of time to play and to go out to burn the energy and satisfy the curiosity of a growing mind. He will melt you inside with his chocolate brown puppy eyes and loves to cuddle up next to you for a well-earned rest.
He currently happily sleeps outside in an open-door laundry, but he is house-trained and would surely love to sleep inside, close to his forever family, if that was an option for him.
Stubby is in foster care in Belmont North, NSW. His adoption fee is $800 and he is microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and treated for fleas, ticks and worms.
