About Jenny
Jenny is a very loving dog who craves human affection and attention. Although she's of more mature years jenny is lively and active but also happy to just chill; she'd cope happily with a walk a day, and wouldn't complain if she missed a day or two. On a leash jenny sticks close beside you in a natural heel position. She travels well in the car and loves going out for trips. Her other favourite thing is balancing on the top of her kennel for a better look around (she is a bit of a clown). Jenny likes other dogs and would make a nice companion for a gentle canine. However, we think jenny has been a backyard dog all her life, so she is timid with new people and in new situations. She has never shown any signs of aggression and when under stress she simply stays close to her person for comfort. In the time we've had her, jenny's confidence level has increased enormously and it's clear that an older dog can learn new tricks! jenny's best home would be a quiet one with kind people happy to let her build her confidence slowly. She responds very well to positive, reward-based training. Jenny would make a lovely companion for an older person or someone who loves the working breeds but don't want to manage the activity levels of a younger dog. Jenny is not suitable for a home with cats. Jenny is currently in foster care in the macedon ranges area of victoria.
