Hi! I’m Ziggy and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.

NOTE: You are unable to meet Ziggy until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Ziggy in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A Female doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• I arrived at the shelter as a stray so my history is unknown. Due to this, my interaction with cats that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown. There can be no guarantee that I will be ok living with cats, so it is recommended that I don’t go to a home that has them.
• Secure Fencing
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• I can get a bit worked up around other male dogs, maybe once desexed and all the pent up testosterone is out of my system I will be ok but best suited to a home with no other male dogs for now.
• Cats or small animals as I may find them fun to chase
My best features:
• Wiggle bum
• Very food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit & shake hands
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered boy
• I love snuggles, climbing into your lap for cuddles & bum scratches
• I LOVE my squeaky toys and will hold it in my mouth squeaking away
• I am just the most beautiful smoosh that deserves the world!!!
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I walk well on the lead but can pull a bit when I am excited, it is recommended that I be walked in a harness which will also take the pressure off my throat

Adoption details
All adoptions are through an application process.
You will find the link to the online application form in each animal’s profile.
Preferred applicants will be phoned to book an appointment to meet the dog or cat.
Once the adoption has been finalised, unsuccessful applicants will be notified via email.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
