About Scout - 7 Month Old Dachshund X
Meet sweet and sassy Scout - the seven-month-old female Dachshund cross.
She is fun, brave and a confident pup who gets along with everyone she meets. She weighs around 8kg and is the size of a small terrier with the long body of a Dachshund, with longer legs. This stunner has beautiful soft fur and the cutest fluffy ears.
Scout is bright as a button and very smart, she mastered the doggy door on day one in foster carer by watching her doggy foster siblings. She is mastering sit and learning to wait for her food. She is learning not to jump when she is excited. She is mostly toilet trained with just a few accidents in wet chilly weather.
Scout would love a young doggy sibling to play with and learn from. She would love some human siblings to play with too. Over 5 year olds would be best as she is still a puppy who likes to nibble on fingers. Scout will thrive with clear boundaries, routine, enrichment activities, exercise and a home filled with love.
She has started her fresh food journey in foster care and we would love her to continue that in her forever home for a healthy long life.
A safe fenced backyard to run around in with access to indoors all day everyday would suit Scout best. She will join you on the sofa for snuggles any chance she gets, she loves human company. She’ll bring joy to her family with the love she will give, and you’ll be entertained with her fun antics. She has not been tested with cats and we would not recommend pocket pets.
She’s currently in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. Her adoption fee is $ 1100 which includes microchipping, vaccinations, desexing and flea, tick and intestinal worm treatment.
Scout is booked in for desexing mid June, so she will be available for adoption to NSW and ACT after that (no flights).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
