About Frank
Hi. I’m Frank. Or, depending on the day, I go by Frank the Tank,or Franky Boy.
I’m a 5-year-old dachshund with a lot of names, a lot of personality, and a heart that’s been through some things, but still wants to believe there’s someone out there just for me.
I won’t sugarcoat it my past? Kinda messy. I’ve been passed around, misunderstood, called names that didn’t feel fair or true. “Aggressive,” “difficult,” that’s what some people saw. But they didn’t see the full picture. I wasn’t mean, I was scared. I wasn’t bad, I was hurt. And yeah, I remember.
But someone gave me a chance. A real one and guess what? I’ve started to show who I really am, a misunderstood boy with lots of love and affection to give.
These days, I’m doing really well. I’m a very handsome little man (if I may say so myself) and I love a good snuggle. Walks? Love ‘em. Mealtime? Say no more. Meeting new people and other animals? I’m totally up for it. Toilet training? Well it’s still a bit of a work in progress, but we’re getting there.
I’ve got a beautiful personality (so I’ve been told), and I’ve met lots of kids turns out they’re just as delighted by me as I am by them. I can however get over excited when I play and be a little mouthy, I’m just not used to containing the excitement I feel when they include me in their playtime.
I’ve even got a buddy, Otis the cat, and we love doing zoomies together. And you know what else? I’m finally chasing a ball or toy like a real pro. Took me a while, but I’m getting the hang of this whole “play” thing.
I’m cautious, sure. I like to take my time. But I’m also gentle. I’m loyal. I’m the kind of dog who’ll stick by your side once I know you’re safe. I’ve got quirks what dachshund doesn’t? I can be a little dramatic, a little loud, and yes, a little stubborn. But I’ve also got a soft side, and once I let you in you’re in for life.
What I’m looking for is someone who gets it. Who won’t try to “fix” me, but will just let me be me and teach me right from wrong . Someone patient. Someone steady. Someone who knows love isn’t always easy at first but it’s worth it.
If that sounds like you, maybe we’re meant to find each other. I’m Frank, and I’m ready for my forever. Flaws, fears, zoomies, and all
