About Benji - Assisted Rehoming
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Benji is a beautiful, loving, young boy. He adores pats, cuddles, tummy rubs and attention. He is gentle and happy to be handled all over. The only thing he loves more than cuddles is tucker. He is easily satisfied with any (and all) food offered.
Benji has been an indoor cat while fostered, and loves his play times each day. He enjoys exploring the house and seeking play opportunities. He is a big boy, but still has the playfulness of a kitten. During his time in foster care his playing skills have improved and he keeps learning new tricks with all his toys.
When done playing, Benji enjoys snuggling up with you. If left to himself he loves snoozing in a sunny spot after a round of grooming.
Benji is a perfect litterbox user, and is well trained at using vertical scratching surfaces. He is the first cat we've known not to scratch the couch!.
My Ideal Home:
Benji's ideal home has a nice sunny window spot for watching the birds. He would love a human companion throughout the day, but is happy to curl up and snooze while his family are away. He is best suited as an only-cat.
What is Known About My Background:
Benji was found straying and was friendly and looking for company so may well have been lost and trying to make it alone. All vetwork has now been completed and he received an A+ health report card. He was a very popular patient among the vets and nurses.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Benji is super friendly with other humans, but is untested with kids. Given his friendly and gentle interaction with adults, we are confident he would fit in with a young family.
Benji would be best suited to a house as an only-cat. He has been hostile towards our two female cats. This may settle down with time following his desexing. He is untested with male cats. He is untested with dogs, but he is a big boy and confident, so may enjoy the rough and tumble of playing with dogs. We would not recommend interaction with pocket pets, given the hunting skills he has shown-off on our toys.
We are sad that Benji can't be part of our home as we have loved fostering him. We will miss his company, but we know he will be a loved member of the family in his new home.
