About Astro - assisted rehoming
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Astro is a sweet and affectionate cat with a very gentle temperament. When his adult comes home for the day, he greets her with meows, head rubs, and lots of purring. Astro loves lap cuddles while watching TV or will nuzzle against your feet in bed. Throughout the day Astro will snooze on the windowsill watching the outside world.
My Ideal Home:
Astro will need a calm environment that can ease him into his change of home. As a mature cat he does well with routine and predictability. He would suit a smaller family with minimal pets and stressors.
What is Known About My Background:
Astro has been in his current home for the past 5 years. Initially he was a shy and anxious cat and would often be found hiding away from people. Over the past few years he has become confident in his environment and now greets visitors with purrs looking for pats.
He will still hide if he doesn't feel comfortable, particularly around younger children, or when the vacuum comes out!
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Astro would be best suited as an "only child" as he prefers a quiet life and has exhibited signs of stress and anxiety with the unexpected arrival of a new baby.
If grandchildren do visit he would probably be best allowed to go off alone in a quiet space unless they were very calm and understood that he doesn't like too much noise and activity.
