Introducing our delightful pair, Roxxy and Rustic. This charming little duo is currently in search of a warm and loving home where they can continue to share their joy and affection. Roxxy and Rustic are truly the sweetest couple you could ever hope to meet, with their endearing personalities and the special bond they share. They bring so much happiness and warmth to those around them, and they are eager to find a family who will cherish them as much as they cherish each other. These two incredibly charming and lovable dogs are eagerly searching for their forever home, and we are hoping to find a special place where they can remain together. They complement each other so beautifully that it would be a dream come true to see them thrive in a loving environment as a pair.
Roxxy is an enchanting little sweetheart, a true love bug who craves affection and attention. Her favorite thing in the world is to receive endless pats and cuddles. She is a people-oriented dog who will shower you with loving hugs and affection, making her an ideal companion for anyone who enjoys a warm and loving presence.
On the other hand, Rustic is a strikingly handsome boy with a rich deep chocolate coat. He, too, adores people, but his personality is more of the playful type. He loves engaging in activities and is the kind of dog who would eagerly invite you to play a game of fetch or chase. Rustic is a huge fan of toys and loves to play fetch too
Together, Roxxy and Rustic offer the best of both worlds, making them a perfect addition to an active family who appreciates their breed.
When it comes to their favorite activities, Roxxy is all about cuddles and leisurely walks, while Rustic enjoys playing with a ball and snuggling up with Roxxy.
Their interactions with people are delightful, as both dogs are incredibly friendly and sociable. However, they can be a bit jumpy and excitable when meeting new people, which is something that can be worked on with a little patience and training.
They are happy to enjoy human company but also appreciate having their own space.
Due to the exuberant nature of meeting people, they might not be best suited for families with very young children, but otherwise, they are both very relaxed and easygoing dogs.
In terms of interacting with other dogs, Roxxy and Rustic generally ignore other dogs during their walks unless another dog barks at them. They have been introduced to a large male dog in their current backyard and didn’t mind having him around, showing that they are relatively neutral towards other dogs so we feel these 2 only need each other and not not wanting to explore new friendships However, they have not been tested with cats or other animals.
These two spend most of their day outside, and it seems that before they were surrendered, they were likely outdoor dogs. They are comfortable in the backyard on their own, rarely bark, and spend much of their day sleeping when they are not playing with each other.
They might get into a bit of mischief, like chewing up a cushion on an outdoor couch, so a yard with minimal temptations is best, they are not destructive in the garden and do not dig.
For exercise and enrichment, they enjoy their daily walks. Roxxy is more of an endurance girl, while Rustic tends to lag behind if the walk is too long. He is a bit on the podgy side, so losing a few kilograms would be beneficial for him. Both dogs love exploring and walk very well on a lead together, although their recall off-lead is currently untested.
Inside the home, it seems that these dogs have been accustomed to being outside. Rustic will sit quietly if he has something to chew on, but Roxxy finds it challenging to settle indoors. They do come inside for short periods of time, but their preference is to sleep in the garage at night, cuddled up together to keep each other warm. They very rarely bark, making them peaceful companions.
When it comes to food, they are very good with each other, even eating from each other’s bowls. They are currently fed a high-quality kibble, which they enjoy.
In terms of obedience, both dogs know how to sit, walk on a loose lead, and travel well in the car.
As for hygiene, both dogs have long coats that require regular brushing and coat care. A good grooming session twice a year would help keep their coats in excellent condition.
The ideal home for Roxxy and Rustic would be one with ample space for ball play and exploration, secure fencing, and a family who enjoys spending time outdoors. They would thrive in an environment where they can interact outside the home, playing games and going for walks.
A nice, warm, and dry place to sleep outside is essential for their comfort and well-being.
A descent size yard is essential, no small units will be considered
Adoption Criteria
A large well secured back yard with grass to run and play. Shade and shelter is essential and adequate fencing to keep them safe.
Children in the home are fine but we we indicated they can be jumpy on excitement so mature age only to avoid accidents
An active home who are prepared to keep these beauties well stimulated and exercised daily . We do not recommend busy off lead dog parks for ANY dogs for positive socialization experiences
We have Not tested them with cats or other livestock
A home that will keep those gorgeous coats well maintained
