About Scout
🐾 Meet Scout – A Quiet Soul Looking for a Second Chance 🐾
Available for Adoption
Scout has had a tough start in life. Found living on the streets while heavily pregnant, she was rescued by a kind vet nurse and brought into safety to give birth. Her kittens have all found loving homes – now it’s Scout’s turn.
This gentle young adult is shy and still learning to trust humans. She hides at first but is slowly starting to enjoy gentle scratches and a good brush. Despite her fear, Scout has never shown aggression – just quiet patience as she adjusts to a safer world.
Scout would do best in a calm home where she can be the only cat and mainly females in the home. We believe she a fear of men, we are unsure what has happened. She’s unlikely to be a social butterfly, but with time and kindness, she is showing promise of forming a deep bond with her person.
She’s currently in foster care with one of our dedicated team members, where she continues to grow in confidence.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $350
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a lifetime registration/admin fee of $50 on top of the above adoption price.
