About Mylo
Are you a huge fan of squishy-faced , affectionate , super playful and very loving little companions ????
Allow us to introduce you to our delightful and charming pugalicious boy, Mylo. Weighing in at a sprightly 8.5 kilograms, Mylo is a bundle of joy and energy, embodying the playful spirit and exuberance of a young puppy. If you are on the lookout for a loving, affectionate, and all-around friendly family dog, then Mylo is undoubtedly the perfect companion for you!
Mylo has been living harmoniously with two adults, two teenagers, and his four-legged foster sibling. He enjoys the comfort of sleeping in his foster parents’ bedroom, nestled on his own cozy bed, and manages to go through the night without needing to be let out for toileting. However, it’s important to note that he does need to be taken outside first thing in the morning upon waking. Like many pugs, Mylo has a tendency to snore, so be prepared for some adorable nighttime noises! He has a natural affinity for people and approaches humans with ease and friendliness. Occasionally, in his excitement, he may give playful little nips, so he might be best suited to families with older children who can handle his enthusiastic nature. Get ready for an abundance of affectionate licks and love!
Mylo absolutely adores engaging in playful activities such as playing chase and roughhousing with his four-legged foster sister. He relishes his walks, enjoys a variety of treats), and loves spending time indoors with his human family members. He has discovered the joy of toys and squeaky playthings, which never fail to capture his attention. Being part of a family has allowed Mylo to thrive, and he greets everyone with boundless excitement as they return home from their day at work or school.
In terms of obedience and training, Mylo is generally a well-behaved little pup. He has mastered commands such as “sit” and “on your bed” and walks well on a harness. While he enjoys greeting other dogs as he is a very dog social butterfly , he can become a bit barky if they start barking at him first lol it's all in great excitement to say hi . However, he is equally content to simply walk past other dogs without any fuss. Traffic doesn’t bother him, and he loves exploring different paths around the local neighborhood. When he first arrived in foster care, he had a tendency to “mark his territory” indoors, which is common for dogs in a new environment, but this behavior has since ceased. Mylo is a very affectionate and loving little boy who once he has time to check you out will cover you with love and affection hour after hour
Mylo has socialized with numerous dogs of all sizes on several occasions and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. He loves running with the pack and experiencing the joy of the zoomies. He has also traveled in the car numerous times, safely secured in a dog seat, and has shown no signs of car sickness—he simply wants to be with his humans!
Mylo has tolerated baths well and has had several during his time in foster care. He enjoys two meals a day, consisting of dry food in the morning and a mixture of dry food and chicken/prime roll for dinner. At times, he can be a bit of a food enthusiast, always curious about what his humans are eating and hopeful for a taste! This makes him very treat-driven, which is excellent for his ongoing training. In foster care, Mylo has enjoyed one substantial walk each day.
Mylo has been both an inside and outside dog, with access to the indoors while his humans are at school and work. He has demonstrated no destructive behaviors, either inside or outside the home. Although he is an active pup, he also cherishes quiet evenings on the couch, snuggling next to his humans and enjoying some downtime.
Mylo is desexed . vaccinated, Microchipped and parasite prevention given. As with most Pugs when he matures having the BOAS surgery done would be beneficial but as far as squishy faced dogs go his breathing is pretty good right now. ( PS He does snore lol )
Mylo has the typical little dog grade 1 knee cap that doesn't require and intervention or cause his any issues but as with all small dogs it is important to keep him at a good weight as he matures as to not add additional strain as he develops
IDEAL HOME
Mylo would thrive in a home with another female dog for companionship, as he loves to play and have a run around. Your dog would need to be tolerant of adolescent behavior, as Mylo is always eager to engage and play. He can be left at home alone without any issues, making him suitable for a working family. However, he is not well-suited to apartment living, as he enjoys having some space for his zoomies. While he is not overly high-energy, regular exercise is essential to keep him happy and stimulated.
