About Maverick
Meet Maverick, a delightful American Staffordshire Terrier mix born on 30 November 2024, who charms everyone he meets with his laid-back personality and adorable, stumpy tail.
Clever, eager to please, affectionate and highly trainable, there's nothing not to love about this well-mannered boy. He walks nicely on a leash, loves humans, has good recall and is great with other dogs. He would thrive in just about any social setting.
With a big heart and a gentle temperament, Maverick is the ultimate companion, whether you're a family of many or an individual seeking a dedicated canine pal.
Given half a chance, Maverick would cuddle up with you on the lounge to watch reruns of "Top Gun", his favourite movie, or just stroll around the neighbourhood with you, chatting with human and dog friends alike. He's a dog for all seasons - one super cool young dude.
In a nutshell, Maverick would fit seamlessly into just about any lifestyle, although he's definitely not suited to living a solitary life in the backyard. A garden ornament, he is not! But make him an integral part of your household and he'll be happy as.
His affectionate nature and easy going demeanor will deliver a lifetime of loyalty, love and laughter.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
