About Pilot
If you're looking for a pint-sized hero with the swagger of a bodyguard and the heart of a teddy bear, meet Pilot! After being passed around (we're still scratching our heads over how anyone could let this little legend go), Pilot has finally found his stride in a quieter environment — and wow, has he blossomed. Once overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of city life, he's now a confident, joyful walking buddy who checks in with you like a professional security detail (puffed chest and all).
Pilot is a world-class snuggler who will literally dance with excitement and shower you with kisses when you walk through the door. While he’s currently living peacefully among other pups, he’s secretly dreaming of a solo gig where he can be the main star. Compact, low-maintenance, and full of love — Pilot is the tiny sidekick you've been waiting for.
My ideal home: I’ve officially hung up my city slicker boots — these days, I’m all about the quiet life! My dream home is calm, cozy, and not too busy (surprise parties and a revolving door of visitors? Hard pass, thanks). I’ve been working hard on my independence and can hold down the fort solo for a while, but truth be told, I’m much happier when I’ve got company around more often than not. I’m looking for an adults-only household — kids move fast, make loud noises, and frankly, I don't trust anyone who can eat glitter. Give me a peaceful home, a comfy spot to nap, and a human or two to adore me, and I’ll be living the good life I’ve been dreaming of.
My energy level: I'm a certified low-energy legend. A couple of short walks a day (just casual patrols to check out the neighbourhood gossip) are all I need to stay happy. I do enjoy a quick game of tug or fetch every now and then — just to keep things interesting — but overall, I’m a chill dude who’s happiest curled up by your feet, living my best lounge life. Think "laidback cuddle buddy," not "wild backyard zoomies."
My suitability to children: Not suitable
My suitability to other cats or dogs: I’m currently living with four dogs and two cats in my current foster home — it’s a full house! I’m generally pretty neutral with other dogs; I walk nicely alongside them and can relax in the same space without drama. That said, living in a busy multi-pet household can have its challenges, so we mostly hang out under supervision. I'm crate trained (gold star for me!), which means we all get our own downtime when needed. In the right setup with slow introductions and respectful housemates, I could happily share my home — but honestly, I wouldn’t mind having the couch (or the humans) to myself either.
As part of building Pilot’s confidence, we started teaching him how to ride a skateboard. He’s not exactly carving up the pavement, but watching him hop on and proudly balance is pretty adorable and makes him a very cool dude..

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
