NOTE: You are unable to meet Jewel until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Jewel in person.

What I need in my new home:
• Regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years
• I suffer from separation anxiety which results in barking and possible destructive behaviour, so someone who is home all the time and happy to take me on outings with you is required.
• I bond very closely with one person and will show separation anxiety behaviour if they leave the house. Even if there are other people at home!

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No young children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people and little ones may accidently scare me. Older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• I need to be the only dog at home, I get jealous and will pick fights. I am ok to socialize and be around other dogs when out & about on a walk, at the beach etc.

My best features:
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I suffer from separation anxiety and am very vocal when left alone - a family who has a lot of time for me, allows me indoors and leaves me with lots of mental enrichment and is willing to take me with you on outings is CRUCIAL!
