About Varla
Meet Varla - A Gentle Soul Ready for a Fresh Start đ
At just 9 months old, Varla has already experienced more than her fair share of change and uncertainty. Now, she's looking for something simple - a kind, patient home where she can grow into the confident, happy dog she's meant to be.
Varla is a beautiful kelpie cross with a soft, gentle nature that shines through once she feels safe. Still learning to navigate the world, she needs a calm and understanding environment that can help her build trust and self-assurance at her own pace.
đ Why You'll Love Varla:
She's incredibly sweet and affectionate once she bonds with you - a true heart-stealer.
Varla is loyal and loves to be close to her people, always seeking a bit of reassurance and a kind word.
She's a quiet character with a playful streak that comes out when she's comfortable.
Watching her confidence blossom will be one of the most rewarding journeys you'll ever take.
đĄ Varla's Ideal Home:
A calm household with older kids (10+) who understand how to go slow and are keen to build a relationship with this Best friend for life.
Varla loves companionship and would thrive with someone who enjoys having a furry shadow.
She'd be happy as an only dog or could live with a very relaxed, well-adjusted canine companion who can show her the ropes and help her settle in.
Varla doesn't need much - just your patience, gentle guidance, and a stable environment to help her feel secure. In return, you'll get a loyal friend with a heart full of love and a lifetime of tail wags and quiet cuddles.
Are you ready to offer Varla the fresh start she deserves?

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
