🌸 Meet Edna – A Gentle Soul Ready to Bloom 🌸

Edna's journey into care began in the most heart-wrenching way, frightened and heavily pregnant, she likely went into early labor from pure fear. Her three tiny babies were premature and incredibly fragile. Within the first 24 hours, we realized Edna wasn’t producing enough milk, and heartbreakingly, one kitten didn't make it. But with swift action, warmth, formula top-ups, and a whole lot of love, the remaining two slowly began to thrive and so did Edna.

As her foster carer, I can tell you with absolute certainty: Edna is extraordinary. Petite and delicate, we originally thought she was just a kitten herself. At her desexing appointment, vets estimated her age at around two, but it’s likely she was forced into motherhood far too young, and too often. Her body bears quiet scars of the life she's endured, a shortened tail, a nervous heart, but never a single ounce of meanness.

Despite everything, Edna's spirit remains soft. She’s learning, slowly but surely, that not all hands bring harm. She nestles close, offers gentle head smooches, and weaves around our legs when she’s feeling safe. When overwhelmed, she retreats, sometimes with a little hiss, but never aggression. Just fear. And that fear is melting, day by day.

🎵 Edna adores soft music and being sung to. She loves all treats, dry biscuits, and climbing up high to survey her world. She has a curious, playful streak when the moment is right and listens intently when spoken to. She’s coexisted well with her foster siblings, though high-energy young cats can overwhelm her after a while, she appreciates a calm space to unwind.

Most of all, Edna has been a phenomenal mum. Her two surviving kittens are weaned and thriving, and now it’s Edna’s turn to shine. Never again will she know fear, hunger, or homelessness.

💗 Edna is ready for a forever home filled with patience, understanding, and quiet love. She would do best with older children (she adores the teens in her foster home!) and a calm, stable environment where she can continue building trust at her own pace.
