About Billy - 3 Month Old Kelpie X Wolfhound
Billy – The Clever Pup Who’ll Steal Your Heart (and Maybe Your Socks!)
Introducing Billy, a bright, confident pup with a heart of gold and a brain to match! At just 3.5 months old, this Kelpie x Wolfhound mix already weighs 8kg and is growing into a medium-to-large, athletic dog with a calm, easygoing nature.
Billy is a super smart little guy who’s taken everything in stride — from toilet training (fully mastered!) to learning basic commands with ease. He sleeps through the night in his crate, uses a doggy door like a pro, and is polite, well-behaved, and eager to learn.
Currently in care with his brother Bo (also available for adoption), Billy is a sociable boy who enjoys the company of other dogs and has shown no interest in birds. He’s playful and affectionate but not over-the-top — a great balance of energy and calm.
Billy would thrive in a home where he can be part of the family, included in day-to-day life, and given plenty of mental stimulation, play, and love. He’s the kind of pup who will bond closely with his people and repay their love tenfold.
Billy's perfect home will have:
* A loving, active household with time for play, training, and outings
*Access to indoors, especially at night — he currently sleeps in a crate inside the laundry room
*A secure outdoor space or doggy door for easy toilet access
*Ongoing training and socialisation, including puppy school
*A family home regularly, especially during his early months
*Can be homed with or without another dog – friendly doggy companion is a bonus
*Calm with other pets, including birds
Billy's adoption fee is $800, which includes his desexing when he is old enough. He has had 1 vaccination, treated for fleas, ticks and worms and is microchipped.
He is located at Chain Valley Bay, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when 5 to 6 months old.
To apply to meet Billy, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
