Hi, I’m Karma, a 3-year-old female Australian Kelpie, and I’m looking for a forever home where I can thrive and be loved.

I’m an active and smart girl who loves to learn and explore, and I especially love food! I came into care as a mum with puppies, but now that they have all grown up I’m ready to enjoy some one-on-one attention (and lots of cuddles once I feel comfortable with you). I have lived with other dogs before (we were besties), but I can be a bit selective with my dog friends at times, so it’s best if I meet all the dogs in your home to make sure we’re a good fit. I thrive in calm, controlled environments where I can feel safe, as when there’s too much going on, I can become excited. For this reason, I’m better suited to a home with older kids. When I first arrived at the shelter, I was a little cautious around strangers, but as I’ve grown in confidence, I’ve learned to trust people. At first, I’ll need my people to go slow with touch and handling, but in no time, I’ll be your most loyal companion. One way to help build this confidence is by providing me with both indoor and outdoor access. If you can offer a calm environment and a bit of patience, I’ll reward you with love, loyalty, and plenty of tail wags.
