🐾 Meet Patches – Sweet, Resilient & Full of Joy

Patches is a beautiful, gentle soul with a heart full of love. After having one of her hind legs removed, this incredible girl has shown nothing but resilience and spirit—adapting quickly and continuing to enjoy life to the fullest.

She’s affectionate and calm, happiest when snuggled up close with a gentle hand to hold her. Despite the challenge of sitting with only one back leg, she’s giving it her all—she’s eager to please and loves learning new things.

Patches still has plenty of playfulness in her and enjoys a good zoomie session! She’s active and happy, showing just how capable and joyful she is. On the lead, she walks well and responds beautifully to reassurance and positive guidance.

She can be a little cautious when meeting new dogs, but with calm introductions and support, she settles quickly. She’s especially great with smaller dogs and puppies, though she’s not always aware of her own size, so gentle supervision is helpful during play.

Patches will thrive in a loving home that can offer her ongoing training, cuddles, and lots of encouragement. She’s already proven she’s capable of overcoming so much—now she just needs a place to call home, and someone to love her just as she is.

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

NOTES:
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
