Charlie has spent the last few weeks boarding & training at Calm K9 Clinic, Which has helped him tremendously, and has also helped us learn alot more about him and what type of home he needs 🥰

Charlie is a young Husky/Lab cross bursting with intelligence, enthusiasm and a huge desire to bond with his person. He’s the kind of dog who lights up when he’s given a job to do — whether that’s learning new skills, going on adventures, or working through training together. For an active, dog-savvy home, he will be an incredibly rewarding partner.

🐾 Training & Behaviour
Charlie has made impressive progress and continues to grow in confidence. His reactivity is fear-based — he can be vocal or appear a bit dominant when he’s uncertain about unfamiliar dogs. But with a calm introduction, he settles quickly and shows his true nature.

He has now met 15–20 dogs, including males, females, and entire males, and has been completely appropriate and friendly with every single one once introduced. His issue is the anticipation before he meets a dog, not the dog itself.

In a trusted relationship, Charlie is wonderfully cooperative: relaxed with handling, comfortable in vulnerable positions like lying on his side, and happy to be guided. He genuinely enjoys working with someone who understands him.

Charlie is best suited to a dog-savvy home that enjoys training, activity, and structure. If you love obedience, trick training, hiking, or agility-style work, he’ll absolutely thrive with you. He may live successfully with another dog, especially a calm and stable one, but it will require sensible introductions.
