About Meathead
MeatBall, Meathead, and Tilly were rescued after being heartlessly dumped inside a Bunnings in the pouring rain. Soggy and frightened, our trio was unsure of what would happen next. Thankfully, help arrived just in time and they landed safely at our rescue after a tough retrieval process.
King pigeons are much larger than the average city pigeon, and are known to be gentle giants. Despite their size, they’re incredibly gentle birds that are shy, sweet, and still learning to trust people after what the last ones did to them.
These three value their independence and would thrive in an aviary or a calm indoor home with another bird friend for company. They love to come up and eat from your hand, and have come a long way already after such a short period.
If you’re ready to give these rain-soaked suckers the forever home they deserve, Meatball, Meathead, and Tilly are ready for the next chapter of their lives and would love to become a staple figure of your home.

Adoption details
Thank you for considering adopting from FFPR!
Once you have expressed interest in a bird, we ask that you formally apply to adopt via our adoption form (this can be done ahead of time) https://forms.gle/cjP9TZJcKAgkze6A6
From there we will work with the adopter to find a bird that suits their lifestyle, and organise a meet and greet at our shelter. We offer continious support post-adoption and are always available for help or questions.
For any questions in regards to adoption, please reach out to adoptions@frecklesfellowship.org
