Meet TJ Squints,
TJ is a beautiful blend of gentle charm and playful confidence. She’s an independent girl who knows what she likes, but she’ll always make time to come say hello, especially if you're up for a chat – yes, she’s quite the talker! She likes to chat to you about her day - and while she doesn't really do a traditional 'meow', she is known to squeak & chirp at you - which is just too adorable if you ask us!
Affectionate and friendly, TJ enjoys being involved in your day, often popping over to see what you're up to or curling up nearby just to be close. She’s curious by nature and loves to explore her surroundings, making her a great fit for any kind of home – big, small, quiet, or busy.
Whether you’re a first-time cat owner or a seasoned cat lover, TJ will settle in with ease. Her soft demeanour and endearing presence make her a delight to have around. If you're looking for a little someone to brighten your every day with her sweet ways and happy spirit, TJ is your girl.
TJ is open to meet kids of all ages. While she doesn't really like to be picked up she does love attention and affection. She loves to receive praise from her bed, including cuddles & pats. She loves her ears, chin & neck to be scratched - she purrs a lot and will head bunt you for more.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how TJ would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
As for cats, TJ previously lived with cats & she still seems interested in making friends. We encourage anyone with existing cats to do a gradual and supervised introduction over a few days to ensure that both cats have the best chance of becoming friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. TJ has already experienced living outside - in fact she was abandoned - but she's very happy being an inside cat - she enjoys inside living where she feels safe. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat she can live her best life possible.
TJ has low mid-range energy levels & at times can be quite playful (when she not snoozing in her bed, of course!). She likes to play with feather, wand and ping pong balls.
TJ is not fussy with her food. She is known to eat any food offered to her and she likes treats, too.
Staff Comments: TJ is a very sweet & affectionate girl. She would suit most homes. She's easy-going, chill in her own way and honestly is just an easy cat in general. She's a nice cat to be around because she'll chirp at you like you guys have been friends for years.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
