About Tex
Meet Tex – The Bestest Boy
Tex is an absolute sweetheart who’s taken to inner-city life in Brunswick with ease. Since arriving in foster care, he’s ridden trams, visited cafés, a wine bar, a pub, and even tagged along to a catch-up session. Wherever he goes, Tex waits patiently and accepts all attention with a happy grin and a joyful little wiggle.
He adores chest and back rubs — and if you stop too soon, he’ll gently place a paw on you to ask for more. Tex is happiest when he’s close to his people, so he'd love a home with someone who works from home or can take him along on outings.
Tex came from a home with other pugs and would enjoy having a doggy companion, especially if he’s going to be left alone for stretches of time.
He’s happy to snuggle with you but also sleeps well on his own bed. He loves squeaky toys and nestling into a pile of pillows. He’s curious and friendly on walks, often veering toward people to say hello and have a sniff.
If you’re looking for an endearing and loyal little mate, Tex might just be your guy.
Medical notes
Tex is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
Tex has had BOAS surgery to widen his airways and help him breathe better, and there are no ongoing issues or care needs expected going forward surrounding this.
He’s very food-motivated, and it is advised that he shouldn’t be allowed to get any fatter than 7.5 kgs for his ongoing joint and respiratory health.
