About Luna - 11 Week Old Wolfhound X Cattle Dog X Kelpie
Meet Luna! Cute, inquisitive and your new best friend!
Say hello to Luna – a cheerful, cuddly pup with big brown eyes and a tail that never stops wagging. With the gentle and caring nature of a Wolfhound, and intelligence and spirit of a working breed, Luna is the perfect mix!
💙 Friendly & Fun:
Luna adores making new friends – human and canine alike! She loves romping around the garden, playing tug-o-war, and spending time with her foster siblings, both two and four-legged.
💡Smart & Eager to Learn:
This clever girl is using a doggy door, with toilet training underway. She is already mastering basic commands like sit, come, and wait – especially when treats are involved. She’s enthusiastic about training and thrives on positive reinforcement.
💤 Nap Queen & Crate Lover:
When it’s time to recharge, Luna heads straight to her crate – her cozy, safe haven. She’s crate-trained and sleeps indoors where it’s warm and close to her people.
😁 Packed with Personality:
Luna is a bundle of joy and energy. Whether she’s chasing a ball, chewing on her favorite toy, or snuggling up for a cuddle, she brings a smile to everyone around her.
If you’re looking for a playful, cuddly and loyal companion, Luna might be the perfect match for you!
Luna will grow up to be a large dog. You will need at least 5ft solid fencing, with no gaps (rural and mesh fencing will not be accepted). Due to her age, Luna will need someone home most of the time. She would love to live with people who welcome her inside, and she will need to sleep inside at least until fully grown. Luna will be a wonderful family dog for those with children above 6 years old, and will need a family committed to teaching her excellent manners (including not jumping). We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life.
Luna’s siblings Macey and Pumpkin will also available soon for adoption with Dog Rescue Newcastle.
Luna’s adoption fee is $800 which includes desexing when she is 6 months old. It also includes his first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Luna is in foster care in Bolwarra Heights, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when 6 months old.
