Hi there, my name is Dixie! I'm an older Red Kelpie girl who just wants to be loved and adored; I have a beautiful gentle nature and enjoy the simple home life. I already have lovely basic skills and great manners, although I need minimal training, I'm always eager to learn new things. I get along well with other dogs; I prefer an older dog and not a little puppy who won't stop moving and making noise. I'm looking for a loving home where someone will be around most, if not all, of the time, I promise to help with all of the chores around the house! It's essential for me to have secure outdoor access, as I love to stretch my legs in a safe enclosed backyard, and so I can go to the toilet in peace. I can be a little timid in new environments and might need a little extra support when settling into a new home, my new owner should be willing to spend lots of time with me and build a solid strong bond between us.
