This little American pocket Bully is seriously one of a kind. He’s a proper little character - sweet, snorty, squishy, and just a bit ridiculous in the best way. He’s the kind of dog who makes you laugh daily with his goofy antics and big, squishy presence.

He loves other dogs and would absolutely thrive with a doggy mate to hang out and play with, or someone home more often than not. That said, he’s also fine being left alone for short periods; he doesn’t have separation anxiety when you’re out. But if you’re home? He wants to be with you. Right there, in the middle of whatever’s going on. Garden? He’s in. Kitchen? He’s there. TV time? He’s snuggled up next to you. He’s got major FOMO and just wants to be part of the family action.

He’s obsessed with chasing the hose (seriously, he could do it for hours), and always up for a game of tug or a wrestle with you or his doggy mates. He’s also perfectly happy throwing toys around on his own when everyone else is busy.

He’s great on lead, not reactive, and loves meeting new people. He’s super adaptable and just a really easy, happy little guy to have around.

Doughboy can be a bit stubborn. He’s a bully through and through, so if he thinks your idea isn't as good as his, he might just…not do it. But with the right mix of patience and humour, he’s a dream to have around. He’s so loveable and funny that you’ll end up laughing instead of being annoyed.

Now, his skin and ear health must be a priority in his new home. Doughboy came into care with severe skin infections, hair loss, scabbing, and ear infections. With lots of vet care, Malaseb baths, and TLC, he’s made huge progress; but this isn’t a “fix it and forget it” situation. He’ll need regular maintenance, ongoing medication, medicated baths, and monitoring to keep him healthy. Ongoing veterinary care is non-negotiable, and a home willing to explore immunotherapy would be highly desirable.

He’s already had BOAS surgery, which has massively improved his breathing and overall comfort, so he’s now loving his walks and playtime even more.

Doughyboy is part energiser bunny, part couch potato, and 100% love. If you’re after a loyal, funny, and slightly ridiculous sidekick, and you’re ready to stay on top of his ongoing medical needs, then this squishy-faced legend might be the perfect fit.
