Meet Dakota - A Beautiful Girl Ready for Her Forever Home ❤️🐾
Say hello to Dakota - a stunning 5-year-old blue Staffy with a heart as big as her smile. This gorgeous girl came into BARC as a stray, with sore ears and itchy skin, clearly in need of some care, comfort, and love.
Thanks to our amazing vet and care teams, Dakota is well on her way to recovery. What she needs now more than anything is a forever home - a place where she can continue healing surrounded by kindness, stability, and the warmth of her very own people.
Dakota has now completed her stray hold but sadly was never reclaimed. She's ready to leave shelter life behind and find a loving home where she truly belongs.
Dakota's Ideal Home:
A home with no other dogs or cats - Dakota is a people-lover through and through, but she prefers to be the only furry family member
Adults or families with teenage children
Someone happy to provide her daily TLC, unconditional love and commitment to care.
True to Staffy nature, Dakota is affectionate, loyal, and full of life. She'll wiggle her way into your heart with her big personality and even bigger love for her humans. Her little barrel-shaped body moves with joy every time she sees a familiar face - she truly lives for companionship.
In Return you receive a loyal, loving best friend and a Staffy-sized dose of happiness in your life ❤️
If you think your heart and home (and couch!) have room for a sweetheart like Dakota, please reach out. She's waiting patiently to meet her forever family.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
