NOTE: You are unable to meet Bucky until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet (name) in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs. I am great with all dogs!
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• Secure Fencing
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• Lots of love and attention
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who’ll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• Further socialisation is as important for me as it appears I've led a sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car

My best features:
• Sweetest boy in the whole wide world
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle, soft & quiet natured
• I can sit when asked and if you take to long in giving me a treat or attention I will reach my little leg/paw out to you ever so gently
• Snuggle bug
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will require further basic training so that I am the best mannered boy that I can be
• I'm learning to walk on the lead at the shelter and am getting much better. I'm still a bit slow and fearful but with lots of practice I should soon look forward to a daily stroll around the neighbourhood.
