About Sir Battenberg
The Softest, Sweetest Gentleman You’ll Ever Meet!
Sir Battenberg is the epitome of class and calm. With a heart as soft as his velvety fur, this distinguished gent is a true sweetheart — affectionate, gentle, and incredibly relaxed. He adores his foster parents and gets along beautifully with his senior pug foster sister, always happy to share cuddles, scratches, and quiet companionship.
Though he has low vision, Battenberg doesn’t let that stop him. Using his super-senses, he confidently navigates the house and garden like a seasoned hero, making his way to the yard for toilet time with ease.
🏡 My Ideal Home
I’d love a slow-paced, peaceful home where naps are encouraged and life moves at a gentle rhythm. I’m perfectly content spending time alone snoozing in my bed, no need for constant company.
🐾 My Energy Level
Couch potato status: Expert. I’m happiest pottering around the house or yard rather than going on long adventures. Give me a comfy bed and some pats, and I’m set!
👶 My Suitability to Children
I’d likely do best with older children, as sudden movements and loud noises can startle me (my limited vision makes me a bit jumpy sometimes).
🐶 My Suitability to Other Pets
I get along great with older, calm dogs who match my laid-back vibe. I'd prefer companions who are past their high-energy puppy days!
💊 Special Notes
I need eye drops twice a day, but don’t worry, I’m a total champ about it. My foster carers say it’s a breeze!
If you’re after a soft, gentle soul who will fill your home with quiet love and comforting company, Sir Battenberg is ready to steal your heart (and your couch).
Medical notes
Battenberg has KCS (Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca) in his eyes which requires lifelong twice daily eye drops.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
