Meet Harry: The Playful Pup with Big Ears and Even Bigger Heart.
With his big ears and small legs, Harry is always on the go, searching for fun at every turn. This cheerful, energetic pup would love nothing more than to join a family who can keep up with his playful spirit. He loves playing with other dogs and running around the backyard, hunting down toys and, most of the time, bringing them back.
Harry is a smart little guy, but like most puppies, he can get easily distracted. He’s still working on his manners—he loves to jump up and greet you with licks from his super long tongue. When he gets excited, he might mouth your arm or hand, but with a little correction, he’s learning that it’s not the best way to show affection. He’s also got a knack for finding things you’ve lost behind the couch or from who-knows-where—and sometimes he’ll chew on things he shouldn’t, like wires, so he’ll need supervision until he matures and has continued training.
Despite his curious nature, Harry has shown no chase drive around our small dogs, goats, chickens, or our free-range galah—he’s never snapped or attempted to bite. He’s also started learning basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘come,’ and while he walks well on a training slip lead (which will come with him), he can get distracted and pull when something catches his attention. His recall is a work in progress, but he does respond well once he realises you want him to come back.
When it comes to barking, Harry needs reminders to keep it in check, but when corrected, he’ll stop right away. He’s incredibly friendly and loves to seek out pats and smooches from anyone and everyone. While he hasn’t spent much time around kids, he can get a bit rough when excited, so supervision around younger children is a must. Harry is social with other dogs and is always up for a game or adventure.
He also enjoys exploring new places and travels well in a crate during car trips.
Harry enjoys SavourLife puppy dry food, along with an SPD roll in the morning and night. He loves to chew on filled hooves, roo tail, and is a fan of puzzle feeders that keep him entertained.
He was a total star at the vet, receiving praise for being a great patient. Harry is a healthy boy with a shiny, soft coat and bright, attentive eyes. He’s up to date on flea, tick, and worm prevention with monthly dog chews.
Harry is crate trained and sleeps peacefully in a large crate with a Potty Buddy pad and bed at night. He may whimper a bit at first but settles down quickly. Though he’s not fully toilet trained yet, he’ll use the pads when needed. During the day, he can be crated but he prefers to switch between dog beds and mats for naps.
At night, Harry loves nothing more than a snuggle. After burning off all his energy, he’s ready to curl up and be loved. With his sweet face and playful nature, Harry could be the goofy, happy pup you’ve been looking for!
